We love it when our brides and grooms pick out locations that are unique to them for their engagement session! Emily and Daniel picked out an Irish Pub in Chicago, Kiersten and James pick the unforgettable airplane hangar engagement, while Allie and Jared introduced us to their favorite brewery and date night spot, Thornapple Brewery. We knew that one day we would end up shooting a session at a local brewery, Grand Rapids is “Beer City” after all! We are just glad they picked a brewery that has amazing beer and pizza.
Thornapple Brewery Engagement
We met Allie and Jared at Thornapple Brewery in the early evening on a Tuesday evening. We were impressed with how many people were starting to fill the brewery. It turned out it was trivia night at Thornapple Brewery, which is clearly a busy night. But all we needed was one English extra special bitter, one India pale ale, and a private corner to capture the love between Allie and Jared. Their giggles of love and excitement were infectious and soon had us smiling behind our cameras the entire shoot.

Allie and Jared, thank you so much for meeting us to do your Thornapple Brewery Engagement!! The brewery where you both met was so nice (and the beer was good, too!). Your boys, Chewy and Han Solo, are absolutely adorable. Josh was THRILLED that Chewy finally warmed up to him near the end. We are very excited for your wedding at Egypt Valley Country Club next year! The venue is beautiful and your wedding will be too!
