When you fall in love, the world feels new. It's as if everything is happening for the first time. That's why we love photographing weddings. Each wedding has us falling in love over and over again—it reminds us that there is wonder and mystery in this shared life we all build together. The most aspirational thing to us is rekindling that initial spark of falling in love. We want to give you that experience with your wedding photos, perfectly captured and forever remembered. It's here, in our journal, we celebrate your love story so all can enjoy it.

They planned this all week.  Kim and Ben were to hike the trails to the beach with their friends Matt and Amber.  It was a warm and sunny West Michigan afternoon as they hiked up the steep steps of Kirk Park trail leading up to the beach.  Ben seemed to be in more of a hurry than usual.  Kim noticed he wasn’t stopping to take in the sights.  He seemed to have one goal, get to the beach.

Once there, Ben told Kim that he wanted to take a private walk together down a secluded part of the beach.  Kim resisted initially, “isn’t that private property?” she said.  But Ben insisted so together they walked hand in hand down the beach.  The lakeside breeze was just strong enough to be cooling but not cold.  They walked a short distance away from their friends but before Kim knew it, Ben was down on.  She gasped!  “Is this really happening?” she thought.  She looked back to her friends who pulled their phones out and began snapping pictures.  Tears filled her eyes as Ben ask Kim to be his wife and to start a brand new chapter in their lives together.  In a blur of tears and “yes, yes!” Kim found herself celebrating on the beach with champagne and calling her family with the news.  It was a moment Kim and Ben will never forget.

When Kim asked us to be her wedding photographers for their 2019 at Thousand Oaks Country Club we couldn’t have been more excited!  We are so glad Kim and Ben agreed to do their Riverside Park fall engagement session in early November.  And Kim, the flowers we found in Rosa Park were PERFECT for your dress!  We love it!  The weather was just starting to get cold and it looked as if would rain the entire day.  But we did it!  And the pictures turned out great!  Thank you so much, Kim and Ben!  We cannot wait for your wedding next year!!

How is your relationship with Ben unique?

“I’m not sure how “unique” we are. We love to make each other laugh, joke around with each other as much as possible. We always know how to talk things out. Fights are rare but we always talk it out until it’s over. Most of the time we both apologize at the same time no matter who started it. We both love family and are loyal, caring people. We will have the backs of the ones we love and I think that makes us great”

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to in your life-after marriage together?

“Having a family, traveling, getting more dogs and a new house. Cooking dinners every night together.”
