Have you ever met someone and in the first few minutes you knew that they were just….down to Earth? You know, the open and honest type that is easy to be around? Well, that is exactly how we felt when we met Tabitha and Cody. From the moment we met them, we knew we would like them for their easy-going nature and love for the outdoors. So when they picked the Silver Lake Sand Dunes for their engagement session, we knew it would be the perfect setting for them!
Silver Lake Sand Dunes
Wow! We have been to sand dunes in the past, but none of them have ever made us feel like we were stranded in the middle of a desert like the Silver Lake sand dunes. It was absolutely beautiful on the sunny afternoon of Tabitha and Cody’s engagement session. Yes, it was windy but it felt good with the warm sun on our backs! We definitely plan on returning for more shoots at Silver Lake!
The High Five Grand Rapids
Tabitha and Cody have already set a precedent for taking us to beautiful locations and their wedding next year will be no exception. At The High Five Grand Rapids next year, their wedding is one that we are ecstatic to be a part of! The High Five is a gorgeous wedding venue. Very light, open, and as Grand Rapids wedding photographers it is just our style! And we imagine that Tabitha and Cody’s family will be just as welcoming as the couple themselves! We cannot wait!

Guys, thank you so much for meeting with us on the 4th of July weekend to do your engagement pictures! We were blown away with how beautiful the Silver Lake sand dunes were. We have always wanted an opportunity to shoot in the desert, and this was pretty close! Mason was a blast to meet, “SUPER CHOP!” Josh had a great time with him while you finished up your photos with Leidy! We can’t wait to see all of you again at The High Five Grand Rapids next year!
