Happy 1-year wedding anniversary, my love. Can you believe it has already been a full year? So much has happened since our warm and sunny June wedding last year. And as I sit here on this much cooler June day one year later, I cannot help but reflect on all the things we did during our first year together as a married couple. We took a trip to Paris. We grew our very own business together. We took A LOT of pictures together! We have laughed and we have cried. And while we have only been married a year, I can’t image what my life was like without you. From the moment we first met, there was a part of me that knew you would be the one I would spend the rest of my life with. Remember when we first started dating and you said everything was just, “easy”. It was easy for us to be together, to do things together, to fall in love together. Well, nothing about that has changed. It’s so easy to be married to you, and I am so grateful for our love. We heard all the rumors about being married. That it is harder to be a married couple than an unmarried relationship. We also hear that the first year of marriage is the toughest. Well, I believe that. The first year is the toughest. Not because our first year of marriage was hard. Not at all, it has been easy just like everything we do together. I believe that because our love only gets better from here. Every year we are together is better than the last. Our love grows stronger by the days, the weeks, and the years. I look forward to the many loving years of marriage to come because it just keeps getting better.
We planned for our own photo session today. But with the cold, windy, rainy weather we had to reschedule. And what did we decide to do with our new found free time on our anniversary? We found someone willing to let us take pictures of them instead. I cannot believe we somehow voluntarily arranged a photo session on our 1-year anniversary. But at the same time, it is exactly what we should do because it’s what we love to do together. This first year of marriage has been a wild ride with you. I am so excited to see where it will take us!
I love you forever and forever will be your loving husband,
Josh
