Weddings

When you fall in love, the world feels new. It's as if everything is happening for the first time. That's why we love photographing weddings. Each wedding has us falling in love over and over again—it reminds us that there is wonder and mystery in this shared life we all build together. The most aspirational thing to us is rekindling that initial spark of falling in love. We want to give you that experience with your wedding photos, perfectly captured and forever remembered. It's here, in our journal, we celebrate your love story so all can enjoy it.

Wedding at Laguna Gloria

We were ecstatic to travel for this destination wedding in Austin, Texas. Bree and William’s wedding at Laguna Gloria – The Contemporary Austin was exquisite.

These two met through a dating app, the modern way to meet the love of your life. They have a real, authentic connection and were meant to be together. Their proposal was intimate and romantic. The evening William popped the question, he hired a private chef who prepared an amazing southern comfort meal that they enjoyed on their back patio. With romantic decorations adorning the area, it was the perfect setting for their engagement.

On the morning of their wedding at Laguna Gloria, it was a warm, sunny Texas spring day with a feeling of a summer day in Michigan. There was not a cloud in the sky, and the atmosphere was as relaxed as it was exciting. The Contemporary Austin – Laguna Gloria is a stunning wedding venue located in Texas, only five miles from downtown on beautiful Lake Austin. The Italian-style Driscoll Villa and voluminous grounds are historical landmarks displaying contemporary outdoor statues tied to Texas cultivation. It’s an award-winning locale known for its ceremonies and receptions and featured in prominent publications and blogs.

William was a bit nervous about his first look with Bree. Once he turned around to see his lovely bride, he shed a tear of pure astonishment at her beauty and his nerves dissipated. There are many reasons to love a first look, but it’s just a remarkable memory when a couple reacts this way!

Bree’s wedding dress was alluring and romantic looking. This Verona gown by Mia Solano is an a-line silhouette with a V-neckline and dainty cap sleeves. The whimsical gown is adorned with 3-D flowers, pearls, and tiny beads. William sported a blue tux from Generation Tux with a floral tie completing his look. Their wedding had a beautiful color palette that mirrors sunset colors of soft oranges, creams, and dark blues. All of the bridesmaids wore contrasting Jenny Yoo dresses, with two of them wearing patterned dresses and the others wearing a solid shade.

Their wedding reception space was outdoors, and it was the perfect location for al fresco dining. The view of the Texas sunset was spectacular as it set right over the water. The bridal party and guests sat at dark wooden farm tables, and chairs garnished with beautiful centerpieces. The florals were delightful and gave each table a pop of color. Bree, William, and their guests were easygoing and incredible people.

We are always eager to try new poses at each wedding we photograph, and this wedding was no different. With this wedding, we tried something new and were delighted with the outcome. The couple raved about working with us, and some of their guests expressed we were delightful to work with throughout the day.

Bree and William had a wonderful wedding day, and we are so glad to be there to document it. We can’t thank Rebecca Yale enough for referring us to this sweet couple. Rebecca is a world-renowned photographer who also happens to be our mentor. Her fiance is cousins with William, who was in the bridal party. This was our first time meeting her in person, and it was such a pleasure. We are so grateful to Rebecca for her insight, which plays a significant part in our success and growth!
