Thousand Oaks Golf Club Springtime Wedding

It is an understatement to call the weather in Michigan, “unpredictable”. The most dramatic swings in Michigan weather occur during the springtime. One day could be a high of 65 degrees Fahrenheit followed by rain and a snowstorm the next day. Which was exactly how the weather had been acting the days leading up to Kim and Ben’s wedding at Thousand Oaks Golf Club. At Kim and Ben’s Riverside Park Engagement Session, it was so cold! Despite that, they did an amazing job in chilly weather. So we knew if it came to that, they would be just fine. But we were crossing our fingers that the weather would clear up for Kim and Ben. And as if the wedding was meant to be, it did!

Kim and Ben planned their springtime wedding for the past few months. They poured every ounce of free time into getting every detail just right. In the end, it was all worth it. Every detail of the wedding was beautiful. The bouquet Kim’s mom made was STUNNING. From the white flowers of the ceremony decor at Oakview Community Church to red accents of Thousand Oaks Golf Club, everything turned out gorgeous.

A Loving Family

What stuck out to us the most was the incredible love, warmth, and sincerity of Kim, Ben, and everyone around them. From the second we walked into Kim’s getting ready room, every person greeted us with warmth and a huge smile. Kim’s bridesmaids were all so sweet and genuinely excited to be a part of each moment of the day. Ben’s groomsmen were a fun group of guys, excited to support their friend in the next chapter of his life.

We were blown away by how Kim and Ben took the time to talk and thank every single person at the wedding. From hugging everyone after the ceremony to stopping by each table at the reception, they tried to see everyone. You could FEEL the love and closeness shared not just by the couple, but by every single person at the wedding. Both Kim’s family and Ben’s family thanked us many times. We felt very welcomed and appreciated for being there. As if it wasn’t our privilege to photograph their wedding day!
