Of all the places we have photographed, Chicago is easily one of our favorites. We jump at any opportunity we have to spend a weekend there shooting. There are just so many beautiful buildings, gorgeous parks, old trees with low branches, and flower-filled gardens. It fills our photographer’s hearts with joy!
We have been looking forward to spending the weekend in Chicago with Alissa and Tim for their Chicago engagement pictures. Because there are so many amazing spots in Chicago, it was a little overwhelming to pick just one. But after a great deal of research, Leidy picked out the icon honeycomb in Lincoln Park.
The Honeycomb Lincoln Park
In Chicago, Lincoln Park is one of the more popular spots for engagement pictures. We saw at least 4 weddings during the short hour we were there. Because there were so many other weddings taking place, we rubbed shoulders with some of the other local photographers in the area. After spending a little bit of time chatting with one, in informed us that that particular Friday was a slow day for Lincoln Park. A SLOW DAY! He said there are usually bridal parties lining up on the bridge to have their pictures done with the beautiful Chicago skyline in the background. WOW! We felt fortunate that we happen to make it there on a “slow day” for Lincoln Park. We can see why it is so popular, it is beautiful and true to everything in Chicago, you can pretty much go anywhere take amazing portraits.

Guys, it was so nice to see you both again! We had such a good morning with you after shooting at the Cloud Gate for your engagement pictures. Fairgrounds coffee is the perfect spot for coffee after shooting there. (Thank you, Emily and Daniel, for introducing us to this place!) Josh was positively thrilled to go quiché Loraine at Toni Patisserie & Cafe for breakfast just after. It was a lovely morning with two amazing people! We are so excited for the wedding day which will be here before you know it! See you guys soon!
