Few things could be more romantic than a “just married” portrait session in a Michigan summer lavender field. We have had our eye on Shades of Lavender Farm near Kalamazoo, Michigan and this was the perfect opportunity to explore it. The lavender field was just starting to bloom which was the perfect setting for two of our favorite people on Earth, Mackenzie and Matt.
As a couple, there are other couples that we find inspiring. The love between the two people and their hearts and dedication to one another is just simply admirable. Not to mention, we are so much alike in so many ways. Mackenzie and Matt is one of those couples. They just lift our spirits every time we get together.
We were crushed when they were forced to cancel their dream wedding due to the current pandemic, but Mackenzie and Matt instead focused on their love for each other and made the decision to get marry and celebrate their love amongst their families despite it all. And while were were not able to celebrate with them due to the stay at home order in the state at the time, we took the first opportunity we could to celebrate with them.
So we headed to a blooming lavender field (brides’s favorites), popped the champagne and cheered to their love! And Shades of Lavender Farm has definitely made it to our list of places we will recommend for engagement session locations.
