Each wedding has us falling in love over and over again—it reminds us that there is wonder and mystery in this shared life we all build together. It will always be an honor for us to photograph someone’s wedding or engagement pictures. It is a job that we don’t take lightly! We believe that pictures preserve your memories forever. Some memories are more important than others and the short period of your life, while you are engaged, are some of the most precious memories you will ever have. During this time in your life, your love is young and new. There are so many new plans and adventures together. It is a beautiful, romantic chapter in a couple’s life. Which is why we are always deeply honored and flattered when someone asks us to photograph this chapter for them! And we are even more flattered when the couple travels from the other side of the state to meet us! Which is exactly what Stephanie and Matthew did for their soft and romantic beach engagement.

Soft and Romantic Beach Engagement

On the morning of the shoot, we were worried that the rain would cancel the beach engagement session. Fortunately, while the rain was worse in Grand Rapids than in Holland. Stephanie and Matthew were such good sports about the whole thing. They were willing to risk getting a little wet if it meant getting beautiful engagement pictures! We are so glad they were because we managed to get the entire engagement session done in about one-hour AND STILL BEAT THE RAIN! When pressed for time which can happen on a wedding day, we can get an entire gallery completed in less than an hour. It’s fast passed but it is possible!

It was super impressive to hear that you both went CAMPING of all things despite the rain! We can’t wait to learn more about you both as a couple.
