Robinette’s Apple Orchard Engagement

Our Robinette’s apple orchard engagement session with Thu and Ha was like a dream!! We couldn’t ask for a more adorable couple to photograph during one of the most picturesque times in Michigan. The blossoming apple trees are simply dreamy and romantic, the perfect setting for this adorable couple.

For those of you who know us, we go on and on about the “light” in a photograph. As natural light photographers, we are delighted when the light is “just right.” For Thu and Ha’s engagement session, the light was exactly that! The entire time we were photographing Thu and Ha, we kept thinking to ourselves, “Yeah….this is SOOO going to go into the next LJ Engagement Session Guide update!”

This was also our first chance to visit the Michigan lakeshore this year and it has been far too long! With the cold winter weather hanging on well into the spring months, we have been sorely missing the beach. Taking Thu and Ha over to a beach in Holland just the excuse we needed. Honestly, we aren’t sure which setting we enjoyed more! Both Robinette’s Apple Haus and Riley Beach were absolutely beautiful with Thu and Ha!

The Love Story

Thu and Ha met at a friend’s wedding about three years ago. They quickly became friends and since have been inseparable. On New Year’s Eve last year, they took a trip to Chicago to see the fireworks. It was on that night that Ha proposed to Thu, a total surprise!! They planned to get married this summer in both Grand Rapids and Lansing.
