When you fall in love, the world feels new. It's as if everything is happening for the first time. That's why we love photographing weddings. Each wedding has us falling in love over and over again—it reminds us that there is wonder and mystery in this shared life we all build together. The most aspirational thing to us is rekindling that initial spark of falling in love. We want to give you that experience with your wedding photos, perfectly captured and forever remembered. We absolutely love to photograph fall engagement sessions. Especially in early autumn when the fall colors are just starting to show through. In Michigan, it is a special time. The season is itself is in a state of transition when it is not quite fall and summer has yet to completely go. The weather is still a little warm, the sun still shines through illuminating the soft yellow and green hues of the trees at dusk. There really isn’t another time in Michigan like it for fall engagement photos.

Taylor and Ryan were just a joy to photograph. Both carefree and in love, they were the perfect couple for this luminescent engagement session. We were so grateful they were up for our suggestion of photographing at Verplank Dock Co. in Holland, Michigan. While it might have seemed like an odd choice initially, the setting was perfectly reflected beautifully in our film camera giving everything a light and airy glow.
