Many of you already know this, but unlike other Grand Rapids wedding photographers, we limit the number of weddings we book each year.  Being an exclusive Michigan wedding photographer has nothing to do with being too busy or unable to handle the business.  But it has everything to do with providing the best possible service to our LJ couples while staying immensely passionate about what we do.

We don’t take a couple’s wedding day lightly.  In everything we do, we dedicate our whole selves to the process.  When we commit to a wedding day, we are not just committing to that day.  We are committing to the weeks and months leading up to the wedding and the countless number of decisions it takes.  We believe your wedding day photos can be recreated but it’s never truly the same.  Capturing the exact moment your husband-to-be sees you in your wedding dress for the First Look can only happen once.  Like any good host, much of the planning that goes into the wedding day is to ensure that your guest are well taken care of.  But the wedding photos, those are for the bride and groom.  And while the photos will go up on social media, it is the bride, groom, and the family that will cherish and relive the day over and over again.

We strongly believe that wedding day photos are one of THE MOST IMPORTANT and priceless heirlooms the couple will have after their day. For us, the honor of photographing a couples’ wedding day is truly one of the most rewarding parts of our lives.  The friendships and experiences that we create last far beyond the wedding day.

Building Trust

We offer an engagement session in all our wedding package. We have said it before, but here it is again because it matters that much. Having your wedding photographers take your engagement pictures makes a world of difference in your wedding day. Think of the engagement session as a warming up session to the wedding day. During our engagement session, we coach our couples through our poses and our shooting style. Not only that but once our couples receive their gorgeous engagement pictures, we automatically build trust.  After our couples have seen themselves through our lens for the first time, they will trust all our silly instructions and crucial location recommendations on their big day.  Because they know we have their back and we want them to look their very best in their wedding pictures just as much as they do.

Prepare and Improve

Before every wedding day, we spend weeks researching the venue and going over every detail to make sure we capture the couple, their families, and their celebration with excellence and creativity.  This is also the reason why we publish our work as an exclusive Michigan wedding photographer.  It isn’t for the attention and praise, though that is nice.  But is a way for us to challenge ourselves.  To improve the way we view Michigan wedding photography and to push ourselves to be better, more creative, and to deliver our best work.

Keeping the Time

Another service we love to provide for our couples is timeline development.  Let’s face it, there are many parts that make up a wedding. Lots happen and it happens fast!  Sometimes we can get tangled in trying to fit too much in a short span of time. These are the times when the timeline threatens to keep our couples from getting the wedding pictures they have always dreamed of.  When working with a tight timeline, the first thing that gets cut off is photography time. That is why we offer our assistance in this part of wedding planning. We know how much you want and will cherish your wedding day photos, otherwise, we wouldn’t be a part of your wedding day. Which is why we always create a timeline that grants our couple enough time in their day to capture it all.

All our LJ couples get their very own personalized blog touching on the highlights of their wedding day finished with our personal favorite wedding day pictures. Love is best celebrated when shared with the world on the LJ wedding blog, which is why blogging is the second best service we offer our couples. We are romantics at heart and our favorites stories to tell are our couples.

Luxury Service

We deliver all our images via an online gallery, in addition to that all our couples get a cute keepsake from us. We create a customized linen box full of our favorite wedding photos and USB with the entire wedding gallery. This keepsake can easily become a part of their living room decor allowing our couples to share their wedding pictures again and again with their guests!

Remaining Exclusive Wedding Photographers

The services we offer we would use for our own family memories and provide the products we WISH we had chosen for our own wedding day.  Rooting ourselves deeply team in these beliefs and working together as a husband and wife photographer team has allowed us to serve our clients on a much higher level.
